At Port Colborne Wave, we believe that every player should have the opportunity to play the game they love — regardless of financial circumstances.
Families can apply to any of the programs listed below to help offset registration and equipment costs. For our older players, there are also hockey-related scholarships and bursaries available to help with post-secondary education expenses.

Sometimes families need a little extra help getting kids into sports. Canadian Tire Jumpstart is committed to supporting families in financial need by helping cover the cost of registration and equipment.
Eligibility is based on Revenue Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO) guidelines.

KidSport provides grants to help cover the cost of organized sports for kids from families facing financial barriers. Grants of up to $250 per eligible child, per year (January-December) are available to help cover registration fees.

The Grindstone Foundation helps remove financial barriers for girls who want to play hockey. Their mission is to grow the female game across Canada by providing grants to families in need.
